We study how neurons and glia interact, interconnect and integrate in the neural circuits. Our focal aim is to understand the functional significance of neuron-glia connections in the neural networks, and their role in cognition, learning, and memory.

I am a PhD student studying mosaicism in X-linked disorders. I focus on understanding neural circuits and the role of glial cells using image analysis, molecular techniques and 2-photon imaging. I have previously received my Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences and bachelor's degree in Life Sciences from the University of Delhi. When I’m not in the lab you can find me either reading or sketching away.
I am a graduated master student analyzing the morphology of astrocytic mitochondria in electron- and light-microscopy images. For the light-microscopy study, multiple mouse models were used to assess whether GFAP, calcium or the electron transport chain has any influence on the morphology of astrocytic mitochondria or not. I have a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Frankfurt, Germany and completed my master thesis at the University of Heidelberg, Germany.
I am a Ph.D. student studying Oligodendrocyte lineage cells and myelin biology in health and disease states, using transgenic mouse models, different microscopy techniques, and transcriptomic platforms. I received my Bachelor's degree in Biology and Chemistry and Master's in Biochemistry from Osmania University, India. Before joining Agrawal's Lab, I did my formal research training as a Junior Research Fellow at CSIR- Center for Cellular and Molecular biology, India. I enjoy hiking, cycling, and playing badminton in my free time.

I am a Master's student collaborating with the Agarwal Lab and the Image Analysis and Learning Lab of Prof. Hamprecht. Therefore, I am also a member of the Interdisciplinary Center for Scientific Computing (IWR). My research focuses on Image Processing, Segmentation and Classification of 3D and 4D astrocyte data using Machine Learning methods. I attained my Bachelor's degree at the Ruhr University Bochum, Germany, and spent an exchange semester as an Erasmus student at the University of Tromso, Norway. During my Master’s studies in Heidelberg, I spent another two semesters abroad as member of a research group at the Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan, as a part of my COLABS project. In my free time, I enjoy singing in our university’s choir, Capella Carolina. Furthermore I like digital graphic design and traditional drawing, as well as exploring other cultures and travelling.
I am a PhD student fascinated by neuron-glia interactions and glial biology. The objective of my doctoral work is to explore the physiology of oligodendrocyte precursors (OPCs) using in vivo awake two-photon imaging to better understand the role they play in crucial physiological mechanisms such as activity-dependent myelination. I obtained both my Bachelor's and Master’s degrees in Neurosciences from the University of Montreal, where I developed my interest in neurophysiology and glia.

I am a PhD student working on astrocytic noradrenergic signaling in neuropathic pain using mouse genetics, two-photon imaging, molecular and histological techniques and spared nerve injury model. I got my Bachelor degree in Biology from Hacettepe University and my Masters degree in Neuroscience from Istanbul Medipol University in Turkey. In my free time I enjoy film photography, painting and everything about Harry Potter world. Don't let the muggles get you down!
